Last weekend a man is arrested for strangulation. This at at his residence in Elwood.

My question is why would Madison county arrest him and not Elwood police? my information comes from the Anderson paper. just curious

Uh yeah, if that's your story, just stick to it and see how that flies with the prosecutor's office. There's not a detective around that's going to threaten a child. You're a real rocket scientist there buddy!

DBeamer668 your concern is not without merit. However Madison county has a great track record for putting away child abusers of all kinds. Google the guys name and online id and see the porn sites that he is associated with. Look at the Indiana code he was charged with and that seems to state he already had one conviction before. This is a guy that is challenging the system and we will see justice even if we don`t agree completly with the outcome. I salute all officials involved for their efforts

Elwood Police can arrest anybody that has a warrant, however in this case it's most likely that a case report was completed and submitted by Elwood PD, Madison County Sheriff's Department, or CPS, then probably cause was found and a warrant issued. The Sheriff's Department is notified first of any felony warrant being issued and then they are the ones to serve them, unless they are passed on to Elwood PD. Wasn't this guy a former Noblesville Police Explorer or something like that too?

Elwood police were driving by that house at least an hour before the Sheriff and CPS showed up. So they were involved. I live down by that house so I saw what I believe was the city and county police save another small child from a horrible fate. Great to see action taken but I see the other even younger children are still there and the abuser is back?!

If the charges were filed in Anderson then they would use the Madison County Sheriff's office. Elwood only does local warrants for the Elwood court I think.
