Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!!!! Went to Tipton last night and seen "Joey and Rory". They put on a good show. Rory is really funny and Joey is so tiny and cute. We just love watching them. That is What We Could see!! We were setting on the fifth row to the left of the stage. (Great seats Right, Wrong). If anyone know's someone from Dan Young,Please tell them to move their sign next year. You could see Rory but only Jody feet. The sign need's to be put back on stage or all the way up at the top of the stage. Jody did walk around alittle then you could see but she was by Rory most of the time. There was also a band call bigg Country and we enjoyed them too. But Move The Sign!!!!!!!!!

You must be using the recent posts button guest. If you want to know what is going on in just the forums then click on the local forums link on the front page first and you will find whats new, whats the most active, and recent comments. It is much easier to tell whats going on in the forums without having to sift through the comics and other posts. Hope that helps.
I know I have been using the chat box a lot lately :)
Me too!!! Not like it used to be
I,m with you guest, but I thought it was because everyone was just using the new chat link.
?? This site is extremely easy to get around in.
I must be in the minority but I get tired of searching through pages of comics to try and find anything someone has commented on.Just not my thing. If everyone else enjoys it ,have fun!
According to the stats, they are all playing games and watching videos. lol
Where is everyone??!! I'd say that after all the lay offs and cut hours, alot of ppl may not be able to afford the internet. This sucks!
We just got back from a trip to Indiana. Spent 2 days in Anderson, all of last Saturday in Elwood.....ate at Richards (good food!), seen a couple of classmates from 1980 and noticed all the new parking lots in Elwood. Also saw all the empty and run down houses :-( Talked to quite a few folks that let me in on the "local Political plight" -------Exactly as I thought?, yes. Enter the next election at your own peril is all I can say about that!!
Where is everyone?? Did ya'll forget to come back after Labor Day?? No Republicans bashing Democrats? No Democrats bashing Republicans? Health care reform... taxes... President's speech to the kids... Nothing???
How about this... anyone else been sick with flu? Me me me!!! Cold cough fever chills .. have been sick
last 4-5 days!! Must go back to work tomorrow, before they realize that they don't need me!!!! :-0
I'm not one to talk to myself... so I'm gonna go now!!! Stay healthy!!

Top 400 taxpayers in the U.S. pay a 17 percent tax rate
Peter Cohan
Aug 17th 2009 at 6:30PMText
Oh wealthy people! How great it must be to know that while you are raking in about a quarter billion a year, you pay a lower tax rate than the average American family.
And even better news -- thanks to the Crazy Channel which does such a great job of making your interests popular with the angry mob, hundreds of those averagely paid Americans will defend your right to pay lower taxes than they do.
It pays to be among the top 400 taxpayers who earned roughly $250 million on average in 2005. According to an analysis by the New York Times and David Cay Johnston for Tax Notes (subscription only), the last IRS report on the top 400 taxpayers showed that they made a little more than a penny of each dollar of total income in America, but paid income taxes at a 17.2 percent rate. Add in payroll taxes, and the figure still rounds to 17.2 percent. Those top 400 paid a tax rate lower than that of a family making between $50,000 and $75,000 a year -- which was 17.4 percent, according to Johnston.
When Will Ferrell channels former president George W. Bush with his immortal words: "You're Welcome America!" those top 400 taxpayers are the only ones who understand what he means. For the average American whose income has been unchanged since 2000, W's message remains: Let them eat cake!
Every parents favorite day of the year.
kids are back to school ..yeah me!!!!
I know my husband and I went to the meat market and got some really tender steaks, they were great! we also got some red potato salad and it was very fresh! also the bacon I seen there looked fine to me. looked like platter bacon to me. I know they probably get the bacon in shipments and place in the deli part. I thought it was pretty cool that if you want a lunch meat sandwich they will make it right there for you. Also they had a nice selection of seafood and bluegill. It was clean and the owner was very nice. no complaints here.
Right now I am sitting here enjoying the piece and quiet.
Last night I had 6 kids here ranging from ages 9 to 17.
What a dummy I am for agreeing that they could all
spend the night on the same night.
Today I took one to be in the band at 8:30,
took 3 to be in the parade with the elementary schools,
and the oldest stayed with me for a while.
Parade is over, 3 went home, 1 went with them for a visit,
2 are at the glass festival.......aaahhhhh quiet.
if you notice she has deleted all her statements once again, just like when she did it to me....
yeah well i wouldn't take MRS. Sullivan's word for crap, she lied on me and i don't even know the woman.
I don't blame you at all.
>
and I'm just stating my opinion.
?
hey you guys don't let theronstrongsmellyguy get to you.... he's just mad cause the only cheese he has is headcheese lol....
The meat we have bought there has been really good! But we haven't bought any big packages yet. The bacon tastes real good and the steaks were pretty tender. Maybe the packaged stuff is different. LOL. Its a new store with new employees to train. Just give them a couple of months and they will be more organized. I will keep buying my meats there for sure.

I do not always agree with some of the posting but I still read them. I also LOL alot at them. This is a good place to speak your mind and I like that. Yes I get pissed off once in awhile but I still read them, then go on to the next post and LOL. So I say carry on my friends!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
Well, Where do I start? andss, for the last 4 years I have tried everything I know to be fair with everyone weather I agree with them or not. All freedom of speech means is the right to say something that other people usually don't want to hear!
I don't care for theronstrong's remarks either but I sure don't lose any sleep over them. You can still come on here and enjoy yourself and not have to read theron's posts. Just click the Ignore User link and you won't have to read anymore of his posts but can still see everyone elses. This way everyone gets their say but not everyone has to read it if they don't want to.
I did away with the guest feature so the members would not have to deal with the garbage anymore but this is not a perfect world I'm afraid. Your still going to have a few members you don't like but all these sites are like that. It's just the price you have to pay for the freedom to speak your mind.
I can't answer for anybody else but this is why I do not post, or, even get on the site too much anymore, threejsmom. It's almost just pathetic.
NEW YORK - A resurgent Kmart, home of the blue light special, is buying the once-dominant Sears department store chain in a surprising $11 billion gamble it is counting on to help both better compete with Wal-Mart and other big-box retailers.
Led by Kmart Holding Corp. chairman Edward Lampert, the new Sears Holdings Corp. would be the nation’s third largest retailer. Both chains would survive, but several hundred stand-alone Kmarts throughout the country are expected to be transformed into Sears stores. The goal: A quick kick-start to sales away from Sears traditional base of shopping malls.
Lampert and Sears chairman and CEO Alan Lacy, in announcing the deal on Wednesday, promised up to $500 million a year in savings within three years from store conversions, back-office job cuts, more efficient buying of goods and possible store closings.
And Theron when was the last time you even wrote something remotely nice about someone?? You ever get tried of your
self-called 'funny' nastygrams?
You sure you're not talking about the cheese in the crack of your rear. Always on here gripin' about something or giving someone else a hard time. Hurry up! Now I know why they call your place the Limberger?? House!!
I was just out side when my neighbors pulled in so I went to talk with them. They are both going to school and do not qualify for food stamps, so they went to the food pantry. They had nice fresh vegs. and some can goods, then she showed me the government cheese. It was so gross, it had mold on it all over except the middle which was cracked and hard where it hadn't been wrapped properly. She said she showed them and they said when it was sent to them and they divided it, it was like that. now what i saw was just a chunk in saran wrap that wasn't in a box or nothing, talk about gross...They shouldn't pass it out in my opinion if it looks like that. They told her to cut the mold off , but even if she did that it just would leave the crusty middle...i told her to take a picture and put it on here but she wouldn't. I believe the food pantry is a wonderful service, but come on if you get poor quality stuff, throw it out not pass it out.
Oh wow that is just so awesome!! Thanks for sharing this with us.
Sears Holdings Corporation operates through its subsidiaries, including Sears, Roebuck and Co. and Kmart Corporation.
The merger of Kmart and Sears as Sears Holdings Corporation closed on March 24, 2005, following affirmative shareholder votes of both companies. The company’s corporate headquarters is in Hoffman Estates, Ill. Kmart maintains a headquarters office in Troy, Mich. Sears Holdings will operate Sears and Kmart stores. The company will continue to market products under brands held by both companies.
This information found on the Sears Holdings Corporation site.
Actually I believe Sears is owned by K-Mart.
On Channel 6 online news there is a story about a K-Mart store closing. I read the article and the store
is in Martinsville. It says the 48 employees may be relocated. K-Mart is now owned by Sears. This past winter
they closed the Sears/K-Mart store in Noblesville. It also stated that there are ONLY 58 K-Marts in INDIANA!!!
58 in the whole state!! That's kinda scary with the little Elwood Store, I would think!!! Wonder how long
we will have it??
ty April that makes it crystal....
A Ponderment! Why is it on your days off from work... all you do is work!!! What happened to the day off??
That's me today!! Ya'll have a good one!!

Hey everyone, just thought id take my turn. Al and I are going to Michigan this weekend to visit with my ex-wife-in-law. Here's a picture, If you don't here from us in a few day send the calvery!!!

Thanks Tammy! We're thinking about Anderson. A few things I can tell you for sure. We've got to eat Pizza King, try Italian Village and take a tour of the new Elwood parking lots!! No really...we are looking forward to coming. I've been talking a lot to my old mates from school so maybe we'll hook up with a few of them too.
Well it is 5:00am. I can not sleep!!! Hey Elwood wake up!!!!!!!!!! Nobody to talk to and no new post to read. My mind is thinking and it will not shut off. I think you all should WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
andss, well hey your coming home with your wife, that's great...i would say the plum house would be the best bet, unless you want to go to noblesville and they have a motel 8..anderson has several motels on 109.... elwood doesnt offer much for travelers...now if your have a camper or tent, hidden lake is pretty cool...it is down from wolf's motel...i personally would take the time to go in a room there and check it out if your planing on staying...i havent been in it myself but the house next to it looks kept up..now i havent stayed at the plum house either but with a bed and breakfast you will probable have a community bathroom....good luck to where ever you stay, and i hope you have a great visit...
About Mom and Pop, they are fine, not much changes! Sunday dinner was left overs!! Don't want to think when the
original prepared date was!! LOL!!! Pop didn't want to go on the drive... he is stuck to his chair watching tv with
the remote firmly fixed in his hand!! When the day comes, we're gonna bury him with the remote in his hand!! LOL!!
Talking about health care... did you see this Professor?
The American Medical Association has weighed in on the new Obama health care proposals.
The Allergists voted to scratch it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves. The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve.
The Obstetricians felt they were all laboring under a misconception. Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted. Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the Pediatricians said, "Oh, Grow up!"
The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it. Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing. The Internists thought it was a bitter pill to swallow, and the Plastic Surgeons said, "This puts a whole new face on the matter...."
The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea. The Anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas, and the Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say no.
In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the assholes in Washington
Well, I thought it was cute!! LOL!!!
I've been out a couple of weeks, blogging on sites about the health care stuff. Yes, I'm still that political.
... and going on a cruise (thanks, Dad). Which was kind of weird since the weather here is better than down there.

Thanks for the imfo. Al. I figured I was doing something wrong.. not very computer smart...thanks again
