I was in attendance last night for the first time of 35 years of living in this town of the Donkey Basketball at the John Ward Gymnasium. Must say that the 5.00 I paid for my advance ticket was well worth it weight in gold...What a cool and fun event. Thanks to those who organized the event as well as those who participated.

In case many of you were not aware the game was held in order to raise money for our Elwood High School Boys Basketball team. These boys truly need some community support. I can remember going to games and the gym would be packed. What has happened Elwood used be so known for the basketball teams. Lets make a change and support these boys and girls, they are there after school every day and on the weekends putting their sweat and tears into being good athletes. Give some support!!!

It sickens me to see so many empty spaces during a game. Remember the varity team is not the only team that plays that needs some support. We also have a JV team that works just as hard as the varsity. So come on support our youth! Be a fan!
