I don't know, but I'm still
I don't know, but I'm still waiting on that steak from Doan's. :o)
I heard they may not open
I heard they may not open due to lack of business at the Frankton location. Anyone know if this is true? I think an Elwood location would blow away Frankton though. Especially being on Main St.
FatTommy's
I agree that Elwood would keep FatTommy's in business more than Frankton. I think there would be more people coming from other cities to check it out.
fat tommys
hi, people are talking about fat tommys. They are opening, just a little later than planned due to equipment purchases. We should see some activity around there in the next week or so. I visited the Frankton store and got the scoop on this and to check out their food which was great, they said they would carry more menu items in Elwood. They will definately be an asset to Elwood. Nice, friendly and great food, can' wait!
Thank goodness!
Glad they're still going to open! Tired of not having many choices in town! What kind of timeline did they give for opening? First they said first of september, then last of september....we're getting anxious around here! :o)
fat tommys
Thank you so much for finding this information. I really believe that fat tommys will be good for Elwood.
Thanks again
Rita
My review of Fat Tommy`s / 1 star
My wife and I went to the one in Frankton last Friday evening. We were surpised to see so many people there.
An older man greeted us and took our drink orders. The waitress followed shortly with the menus.
we noticed somone setting up sound equipment in the middle of the dining area. everything fine and then the bomb shell.
(This is not a big dining area)
The waitress returned to take our order and we found out that fridays are Elvis night. I was stuck there for over an hour because my wife loves Elvis.I went for a quiet dinner and instead I got a night of rockin Evis and swooning women.
Myself I would not have gone if I had know about the Entertainment. It was a great show full of energy, but not at all what I had expected when I decided to go.
I have read and heard about how great it would be when this opens in Elwood.
Please don`t misunderstand me. my wife and I enjoyed the food. The service was so friendly it could be envied by many other restaraunts I`ve been to.
My point is do we really need a night club in Elwood where you can`t even buy a beer?
Personally I have no interest in going back. We are going to the Beyond the Greens next week for a quiet dinner.
Fat Tommy's
Your wife clearly enjoyed herself. Elwood needs this that building has been an eye sore for too long, don't try and ruin the hope of others. Who knows there may not be entertainment at the new one. Elvis in Frankton could be something that caters to there customers and they enjoy it. I personally am all for the restaraunt and can't wait to see it open.
SHAME ON YOU!! You wanted
SHAME ON YOU!!
You wanted something to eat and you got it! Your wife was having a good time. What's wrong with that?
I also think that if they did this in Elwood it would be GREAT!!!! As far as I know, there is nothing else like this in Elwood as far as entertainment goes.
Maybe you should go back again and dance with your wife.
You go to a restaurant to
You go to a restaurant to eat, not to enjoy clever entertainment.
Whether you expected it or not, you got it when you went into the restaurant, and you complain?
Something like this could be good for Elwood's community.
Also, there are plenty of bars in Elwood, so go to them.
