This site was designed so that the citizens could keep each other informed about things going on in Elwood. You can make your own pages, Blogs and import your own images for everyone to see in just minutes. You can comment on other members posts. You can also read about the history of Elwood or the local arrest reports and links to some of the most important sites related to Elwood. Another thing you can do here that most citys do not have is browse thru the many online restaurant menus. You can sell in our free classifieds section. Using the Members list, you can private message each other as well as instant chat with them. You can catch up on the local and national news. Its worth the Membership!

Most of the site is just click and read but if you want to post, sell or comment on anything then you have to register.

HOW TO CREATE CONTENT
To create any kind of content on this site,

Find and click on the create content button on the right. You can also click on the Members Button located on the right top of the page and click the post it link!

You will then see a page that looks similar to the one below.

As you can see, there are several options to choose from.

For an example, we will make a page. To do this, click on page.

Then you will see a page that looks like the one below.

In order to add an image you must enable the rich-text link below the body box!

At the bottom of the editor, find & Click on this icon 

Then you will see a window like the one below. You might have to turn off any pop up blockers you have running before the window will pop up.

Click on the browse button located at the right side of the Image url box and a window like the one below will show up. 

On event pages you will also have to fill in the start and stop time of the event as illustrated below. After posting an event it will show up on the left side under events.

EDITING & REMOVING YOUR PAGES

To edit a page once it has been posted just go to that page and at the top are tabs as in the picture below.

News Aggregator: This is where you can read all the RSS news feeds available on the site in one place. These feeds do not include posts to this site. For pages posted to this site just use the Recent link above or use the A to Z Page listing link. This site is mainly devoted to Local News about whats going on in Elwood and Madison County. If you have something you would like us to know about or would just like to have your own homepage for others to enjoy, then please feel free to post it here. I built this site for the citizens of Elwood to be able to interact with each other as well as access information about local events and news quickly and without cost. I have also posted almost all of the restaurant menus in town under the restaurants link. (Just look for the word (Menu) beside the link. I am always looking for suggestions or comments about how to make the site even better, so if you have any, then please let me know. I hope you enjoy your visit and will make us your homepage or add us to your favorites.
