We moved into this house about August 28, 2007, The owner ####,whom we have never even met, has several people that work for him, we where told that he is a busy lawyer and this was some thing he got into over his head with a partner that backed out on him. The woman #### who showed us this home told us that he wanted it to be a "lease option" that we would be leasing this house, and that during the first year if there where any repairs that needed to be made they would be made; and after that if we wanted to buy it we could. She explained that the house was not yet finished and they had a contractor that would be over to Finnish the repairs. At first they had some one come over and started to work on the roof, he tore it off and left it in the yard for about a month. Then after several phone calls they had some one come over when we where at work and patch one section of the roof. They finaly fixed the AC and Furncace in about November. After that it was like they droped off the face of the earth. Now keep in mind it is now May 1, 2008 and we have yet to see or hear from any one. We have called and called and emailed and sent letters, contacted every person we can think of, we have left messages for the landlord to call us back, and Not once has he made any attempts to repair any thing in this house. We have leaks in the kitchen, dinging room, bathroom, office, etc. MOLD growing where the wall is falling out and the best part!!! It rains in the house. If we take a shower it rains, if it rains out side, it rains in the house, we have electrical problems in the bedroom up stairs, water filled fixtures every time it rains. the house is starting to stink from mold growing under the rug. The foundation is washing away in the basement, we fixed the the flooding issue during Christmas to prevent the furnace from becoming destroyed. Oh and the entire roof is wore out, and that is the reason there are so many leaks. And now after we called the building commissioner we get a letter from the landlord with LIES stating that this contractor has tried to contact us Via Phone us and has left notes. Good thing I have Vonage and it records all incoming and out going phone numbers. Not once has there been any calls or messages from this imaginary person. We are still calling the landlord Law office and leaving messages with NOT one return phone call or repair. The one phone number we do have, the lady stated "If you don't like it then move, what are you going to do about it he is a lawyer!" In the last certified letter I sent I requested to have the repairs made or permission to move. Since he still has not repaired any thing and I believe diligent time is 5 days? Does his failure to contact us mean he wants us to move? Or does it mean he is a shady deceitful slumlord who refuses to make repairs, who places face work on a home, lets it fall to pieces and then uses his "lawyer" statues to rip off the little people with some bogus trumped up damage fees? I am fed up with this guy. I talked to to the man who was his partner ########, he told me that the landlord does this to EVERY ONE, and that is why he refuses to do do any business with the guy. So this Big Beautiful home we are living in with $600.00 gas bills lol is a wreck. If any one knows if this landlord even exists, please let him know that we would like to meet him. Maybe the next tenant he gets in here will not keep the home so clean, or make there payments early. Don't rent from this guy, he will make you sorry you ever did.
