Loretta (Jarvis) Dodd '56
No endeavor of this magnitude is ever the responsibility of only one person. My first choice for trying out the concept of the Panther Den was Loretta. I can imagine what she thought when first asked to check out the Panther Den website. But I think she'll tell you that once she opened that home page the first time, she was hooked.
Loretta soon became a common link between classmates and the Panther Den website. Working as she did with so many townspeople and classmates that visited the library while back in town, she became the source of many early inquiries.
Most of you know the rest. When I needed someone to review and share the Den site with others, she started down a road that now finds the Panther Den with a mind of its own. After she started calling me Doc Frankenstein . . . for creating this monster that now has its own heartbeat, I started referring to her as my able-bodied assistant, Igor.
Loretta helped bring the Panther Den to the level we find it today. While all of the humor is well intended, I doubt the Panther Den would be what it is today . . . had it not been for our beloved "Igor."
Loretta, from all of us . . . Thank you so very much.
