Your Old Home Town
This
month your Roving Reporter is still roving around down south.
I left the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and have ventured east to an island off the
east coast of Florida. It is called Satellite Island and is home to Cape
Canaveral and Patrick Air Force Base on the north. To the south is Melbourne
Beach. Satellite Beach is somewhat midway on the Island. This is also home to
Vero Beach and Cocoa Beach but I have not oriented myself yet to the geography.
Needless to say, I do not have a current update on our Old Home Town. I do know
that things are still moving along quite nicely and that Elwood received another
award regarding the revitalization that is being done. The rest of that story
will have to be told later.

The accident with the girl's volleyball bus and the semi-truck did show
everyone that God does indeed take care of his own. That no one was hurt, except
for minor abrasions, was truly a miracle.
The kids are making this time so very delightful. Michael, 17, Ryan, 13, Austin,
11, Savannah, 9, and Aaron, 7, are more than I really can write about here. I am
sharing Savannah's bedroom and we are having a ball.
Now that all of the personal stuff is out of the way, I will go back to Our Old
Home Town reporting. I apologize for not having much to write about this month,
but I did want all of this Den Family to know I have been thinking about them
and will bring them up-to-date in the next issue of the Megaphone.
I was much heartened to hear that our beloved "Doggie" was back home
from the hospital. Watch yourself Doggie, we do not need any more bad news for a
long time.
Everyone be sure to enjoy their Thanksgiving holidays and remember that it is
for more than just having turkey. Sometimes we are so busy looking for the
lightning strike miracles that we miss out on so very many small ones that
happen each day. My Thanksgiving wish to each of you is that you find your
miracles without hunting for them. Believe me, they are there.
May God hold each of you in the palm of His hand.
