Elwood Man In Honor Company

Elwood -- Frank O. Jameson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jameson, Sr., 1403 So. 21st Street, is a member of Company 453 which has qualified him for entrance into the Hall of Fame at this command.
To be a Hall of Fame company is a rare distinction and the honor is achieved through an exceptionally high level of performance in all phases of recruit training, such as cleanliness of living quarters, personal cleanliness and appearance; academic achievements in Seamanship, indoctrination; Ordinance and Gunnery subjects, standing in sports and military drill competition and participation in the Drum and Bugle Corps, Drill team, choirs, journalism and other extra curricular activities aside from the Recruit training routine.

Special Flag
The Hall of Fame member is awarded a special flag to carry for the remainder of its recruit training and the Company's number will be engraved on a permanent plaque which is displayed in the regimental headquarters.
Frank is a first Petty officer. He graduated from Willkie high school with the class of 1956.
