Without Them
A Tribute
to Someone Special

Mrs. Records
The first two people I had in mind for this section of the Panther Den were Mr. Brugger and Mrs. Records.
My four years of high school gave me many opportunities to experience
Mrs. Records as one of the greatest influences in my life. I spent quite some
time in conversations with her over many and varied subjects, ranging from
schoolwork to personal relationships. Mary took more than a causal concern
for her students. She was interested in them as well rounded individuals
and not just as pupils. To this day, I feel Mrs. Records molded my attitudes toward teaching
and about life itself.
On a lighter note, when she thought a couple of her students from different
classes were going to miss a Senior Prom because of no dates, she worked
behind the scenes to match them up together. I'm sure both of them knew it . . .
and will never forget her for it. I know I won't.
One of my many regrets is having lost contact with Mary after high school.
I sincerely wish I could have gone back to tell her how much she meant
to me.
