WHAT'S THE DEAL?

I've noticed, over the course of the past couple of years, all of the community centers for children and teens have been taken away in Elwood. People claim that the reason for this is the fault of drug use, but I refuse to accept that in any case. Drug usage is, more or less, the ultimate result of the lack of places for younger people to go.

Just wanted to know...is there any news (in the Chamber of Commerce or elsewhere in town) of any new areas coming (or, to be expected) for teens and children?

I was in Cincinnati over

I was in Cincinnati over this past weekend. We took the kids to a place called Gameworks. It was FULL of games (and food) for kids and parents. Would be nice to have it here in Elwood!!! Here's a link to their website www.gameworks.com

Ever since I was a teenager

Ever since I was a teenager in this town-NOTHING lasted as far as amusement for the teens.

You are very right. I think

You are very right. I think this is why our youth has turned to the drugs, in case you were unaware there is a serious problem. If you go 30 minutes south of here there are a lot of things for them to do. I truly understand what you are saying.
